Mini Retirements: Huntsville, AL

This month we had the opportunity to sneak away for a quickie trip to Huntsville. Just an hour and a half north of Birmingham, I can’t believe I’ve never taken the time to explore the city! Funny the things we take for granted. Huntsville is a hidden gem, indeed. Such a clean and comfortable town, with beautiful buildings! We spent the day exploring Lowe Mill, an old mill that had been converted into an art center. Over 100 artists in working studios, along with food, funky stores and a coffee shops! We also roamed the streets of downtown Huntsville, tasted local brews & just relaxed… Sometimes the simplest getaways are the best!

Gorgeous houses like this one lined the streets of Downtown Huntsville. I couldn’t get enough of them!
