I don’t do sick well. So, when my body decided to come down with my first cold in a year, I denied it at first, brushing it off as allergies or the change in seasons. Denial did me no good. I was bed ridden for 2 days straight – no energy and more sleep than I’d like to admit.
Imagine that – never sick while eating strictly Paleo. Then, the minute I give myself 2 days to indulge, BAM- sick. Go figure.
Anywho, I know everyone is wondering about the results we experienced at the end of the challenge.

I’m not opposed to publishing my own, however. And, as embarrassing as the before photo is, I hope that it inspires others to pursue a healthier lifestyle and at least give Paleo eating a chance. Bonus points if you also tackle the wonderful world of Crossfit.
Here’s the before photo of what my stomach looked like on June 4th of 2012 the morning before going to my first Iron Tribe Class. I weighed 124 lbs at the time:
And HERE is what my stomach looks like today. Crossfit classes at ITF 3-4 times a week since June 2012. We followed 6 days of Paleo eating a week (with a cheat day on Sundays) from June until January, and then went 40 days strictly Paleo January -February 2013:
My weight in the after photo is 119 lbs. No huge weight changes, which means I gained a good bit of muscle!
Cross Bucket List Item #96 off! On to the next!
After eating so cleanly for 40 days and seeing the impact that diet has on our bodies (size, skin, energy), I’m committed to continue. I’m in the best shape of my life!
